Katahdin Con is powered by the vision of Dave Townsend, a proud Maine native with more than 20 years of experience building and running successful events across the state. From large-scale disc golf tournaments to bustling home shows and packed craft fairs, Dave has spent two decades mastering the art of gathering people, creating community, and delivering unforgettable attendee experiences.

His passion for tabletop gaming — especially indie RPGs — shines through in everything he does. Dave is the creator and host of Games With Dave, a small interview series featuring designers, publishers, and creators from every corner of the indie TTRPG space. Those conversations have built real relationships with the people who push the hobby forward, and that spirit of creativity is baked directly into the DNA of Katahdin Con.
